Facial Implants

Facial implants are used to improve and enhance facial contours. The surgery is performed under general anesthesia and can last from 30-60 minutes. After which you will have some bruising and swelling that should subside in less than 10 days.

Chin Implants:

Dr. Carli will select the proper size and shape implant to use to enhance you appearance and insert it into a pocket over the front of the bone. A small incision to create the pocket and insert the implant is made inside the mouth (along the lower lip) and heals up within 5 to 7 days.

Cheek Implants:

As with the chin implants, a proper size implant is selected to enhance your cheek bones. An incision will be made either inside your upper lip. A pocket is made and the implant is inserted and secured with dissolving stitches.

Jaw Implants:

Jaw implants are place directly on the jawbone to create a stronger, more defined jaw-line. Intra-oral incisions are made on either side of the lower lip to provide access for creating a pocket and dissolving sutures are used to close the incisions.

During the healing phase, your activities and diet may be restricted for 4 to 5 days. Give yourself plenty of time to get used to the new look and be patient with the healing process.
